Last Class / Research Q / Reflections

Instead of assigning a typical research paper for our final project for ENWR600, Seminar in Writing Studies: Teaching Writing Through Technology, Professor Knight asks us to create a hypothetical research proposal. The assignment forces us to consider how we would pursue our personal research interest in a real-world way. During our final class discussion, in which we all shared the top-line goals of our research proposals, we discussed whether the way in which we posed our question was correct, whether our methodology made sense, and what we hoped the outcome might be if we actually ever got to conduct the research. By sharing our research questions, we can see the topic of composition and technology from multiple points of view and also identify themes for research that surfaced throughout the course.
